Proposal creation and voting on Roobee DAO

You can make governance proposals and cast your votes via the 'Voting' section of Roobee DAO. Before you start using this section, you'll need to get xROOBEE tokens on the 'Staking' page. We have a guide on staking and getting xROOBEE, which is available via this link.

This step-by-step guide will take you through the processes of creating proposals and voting on Roobee DAO.

Step 1

When you first visit Roobee DAO, you will see a pop-up window that will prompt you to connect your web3 wallet. We recommend using MetaMask - the most popular crypto wallet browser extension.

Step 2

Go to the 'Voting' section.

Step 3

Delegate xROOBEE to your wallet. To do so, click on the 'Delegate button.

In the pop-up window, enter your wallet address, then click 'Delegate Votes' and confirm the transaction via your wallet.

Step 4

Every user who has at least 2,000,000 xROOBEE delegated to their address can put forward governance proposals on Roobee DAO and thus start voting sessions. Users can make proposals on changes to ROOBEE staking rewards on Roobee DAO, platform parameter changes on app.roobee.io and roobee.finance or, for example, propose adding new products to these platforms.

If you have enough xROOBEE on your balance, you can create a governance proposal.

Step 5

To make a proposal, click on the 'Create Proposal' button. Next, you need to enter a title and add a description of the proposal.

Please note:

Proposal information should be entered in English only.

Step 6

Once you've entered all the information, hit 'Submit proposal' and confirm the transaction in your wallet to create the proposal.

Step 7

If created successfully, your proposal will appear on the 'Voting' page ready for voting.

Step 8

To cast your vote, go to the proposal page by clicking 'Go To Proposal' and vote 'For' or 'Against'.

Next, confirm the transaction via your wallet.

That's it! Voting is considered successful if at least 51% of users have voted for or against the proposal. Once a proposal has been put forward, users will have a certain amount of time where they will be able to cast their votes. Voting will close automatically when the voting period has expired.

If you don't have enough tokens to create a proposal, you can vote on proposals made by other users. To do so, you need to delegate xROOBEE to your own address as explained in this guide, choose an active proposal and cast a vote for or against.
